I feel like I spent the whole weekend with people telling me what I was doing wrong, it was all very overwhelming and not like any equine competition I have ever been to.  But the good news it was very educational and we will surely go to the next one - and next time hopefully do a whole lot better!  Alayna rode with me as groom (or rather "'gater" in CDI vernacular) and she did an excellent job keeping me on track - literally and figuratively.  Phil was there as chauffer, time clock, photographer, problem solver and pat-on-the-backer when I needed it. And my wonderful sister Jennie came from Dallas to help, cheer us on and take photos.
